In the afternoon of the 27th of December 2016, ITEC students joined the seminar “ A NEW STANDARD – GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP”, presented by HCMUS, HCMC.
At the seminar, students had a chance to listen to Prof. Carlos Alberto Torres about standard and educational program of global citizenship.
Prof. Carlos Alberto Torres is now the Chairman of Educational Global Citizenship and Global Learning of UNESCO. He is also the director of Paulo Freire Institute of UCLA and holds important positions.
After his presentation, the professor also spent his time to have a Q&A section with students, in order to answer each of their questions

The contest “Future Leader” presented by Hoa Sen Corp. was also presented at the seminar, with a 100% scholarship to learn and visit Harvard Business School in short term.

One of the main purposes of the professor’s visitation is to study the possibilities of progressing “Global Citizenship” in Vietnam. One of the main goals is that Vietnam will have had 5 million people qualify “Global Citizenship” by 2019.
