THE HO CHI MINH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCES WELCOMES FRESHMEN OF THE INTERNATION PROGRAM

In the 5th of October, 2015, HCMUS orchestrated an ceremony on the open of school year, welcomed 85 freshmen from the international programs, joint program with Keuka College, the USA and Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand.

ITEC, HCMUS and the presentative of our partner university welcomed a new school year with the appearances of over 85 freshmen from both joint program Bachelor of Technology and Information Sciences (AUT-NZ) and Bachelor of Business Management (Keuka – the USA). The ceremony happened in a warm and cozy atmosphere.

Among these 85 students, there is 30% students qualified our English program (from intermediate level) and 12 students qualified our IELTS training program. The freshmen will learn in an international environment with multiple courses focusing on technical field and pragmatic projects. This is what make ITEC students different from other training programs, an advantage in landing a job in the working market.

In his speech, the Associated Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan, Vice principle of HCMUS, emphasized the 4 elements of HCMUS students: veracious, imbued with learning, self-learning, problem-solving. We wish to delivered the spirit of learning knowledge and retaining our cultures not only from this university but also our national culture.

Students were awarded rewarding price. 

To ITEC students in particular, you should be excited about yours first year in university, after the training occurring in September. Mr. Tran Tuan Khoi, freshmen of IT program share us “ From the very first days,  I feel like I am a member of ITEC family and more importantly, every requirement I expect from ITEC is met as what I expected.”

The ceremony is also a chance for students to have a look back at their learning journey. On this occasion, the presentative of HCMUS and Keuka College also give scholarships to 70 students throughout the school year.
